Our story
MSB Educational Institute grew from a single conviction: that knowledge is the truest companion to faith. What began in 1985 has become a global family of schools — and here in Mombasa, that same tradition continues.
MSB Educational Institute (Al Madrasatus Saifiyatul Burhaniyah) is founded by Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, with its first schools established in Nairobi, Kenya and Mumbai, India.
TODO(content): confirm the year the Mombasa campus opened and its early history with the school. Kept as a placeholder rather than an invented date.
The Kuwait branch is inaugurated by Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin — at the time the largest MSB campus in the world.
MSB grows to 24 campuses across seven countries — India, Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania, the UAE, Madagascar and Kuwait — educating more than 12,000 students, with an integrated curriculum accredited to the ICSE and IGCSE boards.
MSB Mombasa carries forward the institute's founding ethos — pairing academic excellence with moral and spiritual formation for the students and families of our coastal community.
